Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
So I really wanted to try making little heart cakes like the bakery made (the one that I worked at in high school). It was fun! I do know, though, that cake decorators must have MEGA hand muscles--at one point I had Joel come and in lend me some muscle! I made these for a few of my friends (and Joel of course) and Ollie wanted two for his two girlfriends, Ava and Taylor. Joel surprisingly didn't want to take one to his co-worker at work....hmm...
Anyway--enjoy the day! And don't forget to tell someone you love them!

Kendall, I'm very impressed with your cakes! They look exactly like the Bakery's!

Nicely done, nicely done...
i always LOVED the heart-shaped sugar cookies with the icing on them. it never occurred to me that i could make them into DIFFERENT shapes and eat them at DIFFERENT times of the year... yet another strong indication of those amazing epp genes.
happy heart day.
Denita--you ARE still alive! I haven't found your newest blog yet...I wondered where you'd gone!
:-)
Kendall, I'd sure take the cake to work, just send them my way. I can just see Ollie's birthday cakes, all pink and with cute little flowers. You are on your way to some great decorating.
And boy were those cakes good! Taylor dug right into hers....she preferred eating it from the inside out after digging a whole in the center! Thanks Kendall and Ollie!
