Goals 2007

We aren't really one's to have New Years resolutions because most of the time we don't stick to them. One thing we do like to do is to set some goals for the year and most of them end up having to do with finances or home repairs. We didn't really do any big home projects in 2006 and at this point we really don't have any big plans for this year. But we have set some financial goals for 2007 and would like to share them with you:

1. First and foremost pay off Joel's student loans, we have been working hard to pay off our student loans. In March of 2005 we had about $28,000 in loans between the two of us, ouch. Well, it is down to $4000, and our goal is a June payoff, it can't come soon enough.

2. Finish emergency fund. We would like to save 3-6 months of living expenses. So, our goal is to save about $6000 and we have about $5000 of that to go. We hope to achieve this by the end of the year.

3. Start college fund for baby billy. Not much more to say about that, but we want to get a head start, so we don't get behind.

For now that is all we have but as you can see we have a lot of work to do. We would love to hear your goals for 2007.

Great goals. Pretty impressive that you will have your student loans paid off. I will post again with some of our goals.

What happens when your only goal for 2007 was fulfilled Jan. 1, 2007?
