Super Heroes

Hi. I really like super heroes. In fact, I've given myself a super hero name. From now on, I shall be called "Hyper Boy". I have the amazing ability to move all day. In fact, most of my waking hours are spent breathing heavy and kicking. I've included a few pictures below to illustrate:

Did you enjoy that as much as I did?

My Seven

Courtney tagged me...so now it's my turn. (...To post a list of 7 things no one knows about me. My brother and sister both did this, too--check out their blogs! They're listed to the right of this column.)

1. In second grade, I got in trouble for putting together the blend "cr" with the digraph "ap" in a making words center. Oops.

2. The real reason I married Joel was for his money.

3. I have no less than 34 mugs--seriously.

4. If I had to be a Lord of the Rings character, I would also be Legolas...nice hair.

5. I don't clean our bathrooms very often...maybe twice a month???

6. One of my favorite movies is "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock.

7. I always wanted a real Cabbage Patch doll. I did have fake one...she was cute and all...

Okay, tag! Joel, Chelsie, Sheryl, Karla, Mitch, Roanna and Oliver--you're it!

Ramblings from Ollie

Hi again! It's me, Oliver. I decided it was time for another post. I'm going to tell you about 3 more things I love. One of them is play time. I have this GIANT caterpillar that I lay under--I get to look in a mirror, kick the toys and watch them hang there. It's so much fun!

Another thing I love is bath time. Here are pictures of me before (notice how excited I look), during my bath (we understand this is a family website), and after my bath. That is the first time I got to use my frog towel--I love it so much I spit up all over it! (Sometimes I like to try to compete with my cousin Addilyn for spitting up!)

Finally, I kind of like tummy time. It's growing on me. It's just so hard to lift up my head! So I lay there for a while and then lift my head once in a while (just to make mom and dad happy)...

Eczema Boy

Doctor's visit: $20
Special Aveeno Lotion: $15
Cetaphil Face Wash: $4
Hydrocortizone Cream: $2
Special non-dairy, non-peanut food for mom: $20

Getting our smooth-faced, happy little boy back: priceless

(Okay, this is an old picture--the eczema is just starting here. It has now spread to both ears, around his head and onto his neck and chest! And I (Kendall) can't eat anything dairy or peanut for 2 weeks!!! That means 90% of my diet is out...shoot.)

Where's Ollie?

Can you find him? Hint: he's the one with no clothes on!

We had a good week here at the Smith house. Two days I (Kendall) went up to school to do some assessing, so one day my friend that will watch him 3 afternoons a week next year watched him...(did you follow that?) Thursday, mom came and ate lunch with us and watched him. It was very fun.

We also took him to be weighed Thursday--10lb 5oz! He continues to gain lots of weight. Those chicken legs are no longer!!!

Joel has been working a lot getting fields prepared for baseball games. We've had so much rain though, the games are often canceled. Today is another stormy day--you may have heard about the Greensburg tornado west of here. It's exciting stuff until people get hurt or killed.

Finally, this summer. We are planning a few trips: Joel found a music festival in Texas the second weekend of June that we'd like to go to--there are great bands: David Crowder Band, Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp, and a group called Jackson Waters (one of the members is the son of a pastor at our church!) We'll go and stay in a hotel--we're not brave enough to tent camp 3 nights with Ollie. We are also hoping to go to Washington D.C. in late July. I've never been there, and we found cheap tickets from Midway (in Chicago). So we'll probably spend some time with Joel's family while we're in Indiana.

We enjoy hearing from all of you comment-makers! Thanks for checking our blog! :-)
