Costumes this year were easy.
We found Lily a chicken costume in her box from Karla,
and Ollie was deciding between a fireman and a pirate--but had everything for both. Last minute--the pirate decision was made.

The chicken was trying to help the pirate with his earring.

I learned something new last night on PBS. A chicken and a hen are two different things.?? The guy said a chicken lives only 45 dies and is good for cooking but a hen is one that lives for many years and lays eggs. I had never heard that and don't know if it is true or not. Lily made a cute!!! chicken (or hen) and Ollie a great pirate. I can just hear him say "argh!"
